A retired Community College Program Chair, Jan "Beaver" Coad worked for a decade leading and teaching in health care educational programs. Jan was in charge of program planning, writing of curriculum and advisory committee development. In this capacity she designed and achieved initial accreditation for one program and ongoing re-accreditation for two others.
After leaving teaching, Jan and her family opened a Victorian Tea Room where she hosted many bridal showers, luncheons, holiday teas and birthday parties. She enjoys writing both fiction and creative non-fiction.
She received undergraduate degrees in Respiratory Therapy from Santa Fe Community College and the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) and a Master's Degree in Community Based Health Education from UCA.
She has enjoyed speaking with fellow like-minded people with Asperger Syndrome at California, Washington DC and local Washington state groups.
